Description: This is a special-order batch made by CNNP, using #8582 recipe and semi-wild (from tea trees that were previously cultivated) raw arbor leaves. The large "Chung" on the wrapper is a sign they use to distinguish this special-order batch from their normal productions.
The wrapper has some "oily" marks on it, which could be a sign of good juicy leaves. When I open the wrapper, it emits a very charming woody aroma. The body is not too compressed; you can easily use hands to loosen the cake. Closely inspect the surface, the evidence of high and bold quality leaves and craftsmanship is clearly presented.
Overall Impression:
The aroma is rich in soothing woody fragrance. The floral feeling is becoming more and more dominant in each following brew. Nice round and dry taste, little harshness and bitterness. The first brew I can detect a tiny smokiness in the aroma, but it quickly disappears from the second cup. A very enjoyable fruity aroma has started to developed, though the taste overall is still in the "green" side. Robust and lingering sweetness is nicely presented in the aftertaste. I believe the aging potential of this cake is very promising, as its taste has already on a right track!
Each order is 1 cake.
