Description: The first thing you will notice in this cake is the unusually large "Chung" letter on the wrapping paper. The yellow "Cha" in the middle of eight "Chung" letters indicate it belongs to the Huang-yin (yellow label) family. The second unique thing about this cake is in fact it has two nei-fei; one is pressed in the front-side, and the other is buried in the back-side. The tea factory sometimes does this to distinguish a batch of specially-ordered or specially-made puerhs from others.
The picture below shows the second neifei in the back of the cake; it says "this cake was made from leaves from 100+ years old tea trees, through natural oxidation process, and followed pure hand-made traditions in a meticulous way".
This cake was made by a blend of 1~3 grades of spring harvested raw leaves from Yi-Wu. Carefully rolled by hand to the stripe shape before being pressed into a cake. The whole body has a solid feeling in it. The surface looks very clean and the tea stripes are semi-glossy.
After 6-year nicely stored, the tea liquor out of the cake looks very clean and has an elegant light amber color. The liquor emits a calming smell, kind of like woody/flowery mix. What I like the most is the taste (of coz!); 6-year aging brings out a hint of plum fruity feeling in the taste. With a robust camphor aroma undertone, it's good to drink now. The cool aroma from the aroma cup or emptied cup emits a very charming floral/orchid like fragrance!
Each order is 20g sample.
