Description
: Amazingly beautiful antique Japanese silver side-handled teapot ("kyusu") of 30's. The whole piece was 100% hand-worked from a single piece of silver plate and genuinely one-of-a-kind, unlike modern silver teapots which are press-molded. Unusual surface effect, superbly complex and elegant. Also finely crafted spouts inside the teapot. The side handle was made of ivory (Hou De supports the ban on international ivory trade since 1989). The bottom "pure silver" seal. Picture of the whole set:
Overall in very good, clean and ready to use condition. The item will be sent by Insured parcel.
Many people have standed by the claim that silver teapot/kettle can improve the water or tea quality. From our own experience, we also found the water tasted slightly more round and "dynamic" feeling than from normal stainless steel kettle and earthenware kettles. More experiments of coz are necessary.
